There are times when we respond to a global crisis like the tsunami, at other times it’s a local need like serving at a shelter, and other times it gets personal. Two members from Team 21 want to make a difference in a woman’s life that they know from their church. She moved to Pasadena a year ago from Arkansas to assist in helping with her brother-in-law’s illness. Since she moved her own liver disease has gotten very aggressive. She currently has no health insurance and is waiting for Johns Hopkins to approve her application to be used as an experimental patient. But with this comes financial stress and responsibilities. Team 21 is hosting a Joe Corbi’s Pizza Kit, Cookie dough etc sale to help raise funds for the care, medicine and transplant surgery needed to beat this disease. Take care of a fun dinner or dessert and help save a life at the same time! All orders will be delivered to Dynasplint on Sept.13th.
